To Inspire

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.

Clay P. Bedford

As at 1 July 2012 there were 6,568 home schooled students recorded on the Ministry of Education’s homeschooling database, which represents 0.9% of total school enrolments. These students belonged to 3,534 families.

Gisborne, Otago  and Hawkes Bay had the lowest proportions of homeschoolers in relation to their total school populations.
